SERVICES

At Weaverville Family Medicine, we treat the entire family. We provide complete sick and well care for patients of all ages. Services include--

· Regular office hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 7:00pm. and Saturdays 9:00am to 1:00pm. Urgent problems are seen on a "work-in" basis. After hours, there is a doctor on call 24 hours a day. Call (828)645-3066 for an appointment.

· Pediatric medicine from newborns to adolescents including well baby and child exams, immunizations, school exams, and sports physicals.

· Women's gynecological care including Pap smear, birth control needs, and menopausal care.

· Men's healthcare including prostate cancer screening and colon cancer screening.

· Work related services including pre-employment exams, DOT exams and work-related injuries.

· Minor outpatient surgery such as removing warts or growths, and sewing up wounds.

· Nutritional counseling.

· Skin care including treatment for acne and sun damage.

· Trauma and sports medicine.

· Orthopedic care such as sprains and uncomplicated fractures.

· Radiological services including x-ray, ultrasound and bone density assessment for detection of osteoporosis. A group of radiologists read our ultrasounds. Our routine x-rays are read by the radiologist if requested by your healthcare provider.

· Physical therapy services on-site.

· Medical supplies such as crutches and splints.

·Endoscopy services including flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy for colon cancer screening.

· Laboratory services.

· Additional services include EKG, 24-hour cardiac Holter monitoring, exercise treadmill testing, stress echocardiography, hearing/vision screening, and pulmonary function testing.

· Neurometrix Testing

. We also have a number of informative brochures on various topics available for free.

We have made the commitment to provide a wide variety of outpatient services. Asheville Hospitalist Group, a local group of internal medicine-trained hospital specialists, will provide care for our adult patients who require hospitalization. Faculty and resident-attending physicians from the Mountain Area Health Education Center Residency Program will assist Asheville hospitalist Group for adult inpatient care and will provide care in the hospital for our newborn and pediatric patients. We resume care of all of our patients as soon as they are released from the hospital.

We participate with Medicare and most commercial insurance plans. Payment is expected at the time of service provided.
